Using song and dance, the apostles spread Christ’s message of love and tolerance as the time moves ever closer to his betrayal at the hands of Judas. Godspell is the first musical theatre offering from composer Stephen Schwartz who went on to write such well-known hits as Wicked, Pippin, and Children of Eden. Both the Morgan County African-American Museum and the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center are thrilled to bring the Spelman College Glee Club to Madison next February.

The Morgan County African American Museum is proud to announce the exhibition “Benny Andrews, Illustrator. The exhibition will open on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Madison City Hall Annex, Council Chamber room from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm.
Pellom C. McDaniel, PhD professor at Emory University will be the guest curator. Dr. McDaniel will highlight the Plainview native’s legacy as an illustrator of children’s books. A copy of each children’s books illustrated by Mr. Andrews will be donated to the MCAAM. Excerpts from each of these books will be highlighted in a Reading Event that will feature celebrity readers including Mrs. Benny Andrews (Nene), Dr. Pellom McDaniel, Andrews’ family members and local celebrity readers. A reception will follow the program. There is no admission.

The Morgan County African American Museum is proud to announce the exhibit “Bennie Andrews, Illustrator.
Pellom C. McDaniel, Ph.D. professor at Emory University will be the guest curator. Dr. McDaniel will highlight the Plainview native’s legacy as an illustrator of children’s books. A copy of each children’s books illustrated by Mr. Andrews will be donated to the MCAAM. Excerpts from each of these books will be highlighted in a Reading Event that will feature celebrity readers including Mrs. Bennie Andrews (Nene), Dr. Pellom McDaniel, Andrews’ family members, and local celebrity readers. A reception will follow the program. There is no admission.

Basic Sausage-Making with Farmview Butcher Glen Wellman @ Farmview Market

$25 includes instruction, hands-on experience and 2 lbs of sausage to take home.

Learn Farmview's step-by-step process of making sausage blends, working with different types of casings, cooking methods and more.
You will take home 2 lbs. of sausage and learn the basics of sausage-making in an intimate setting. Led by Farmview Butcher Glen Wellman, you will leave with skills you can use in your own kitchen.
This class will be held in the butcher area, which is kept at a very cold temperature.
Please plan to dress in layers, including hat and thick socks. Space is limited, so register early to reserve your seats! *Farmview Schoolhouse classes often fill quickly; however, in the case of low enrollment, Schoolhouse events may be cancelled or rescheduled. Register early to ensure you are not disappointed.
