The Madison Morgan County Convention and Visitors Bureau (MMCVB) is seeking a dynamic, goal-oriented, tech-savvy, and creative individual to join our team as a full-time Content Marketing & Sales Specialist. This position plays a key role in advancing MMCVB’s vision of positioning Madison and Morgan County as a “must-visit” destination. MMCVB promotes economic development and community vitality through travel and overnight stays while encouraging meaningful participation by visitors in the local tourism economy.
This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of MMCVB’s sales and marketing responsibilities with a heavy focus on social media marketing and content creation. This position will work closely with the Director, interns, local businesses, tourism partners, regional organizations, and community stakeholders.
Responsibilities include, but are not exclusive to:
Social Media Management Create, schedule, monitor and manage organic and paid social media content – including photography, short-form video (Reels), and copywriting – to increase engagement, reach new audiences, and promote Madison and Morgan County as a destination on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube. Coordinate and maintaining an ongoing and comprehensive video and image library, understanding usage rights and procurement avenues. Lead and manage interns to support these social media and content creation efforts.
Sales & Tourism Partner Relations Build relationships with local partners and drive sales for memberships, cooperative marketing offerings and Destination Guide, while managing all related administrative tasks including outreach lists, payment and asset collection.
Website Maintenance Update and maintain accurate business listings, event calendars, and general destination content on VisitMadisonGA and partner websites.
Perform reporting, administrative, and other duties as assigned.
Skills and Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and previous experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field, preferred.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
- Creative content creator with demonstrated experience in photography, short-form video, and digital design; requires proficiency in creative apps (Canva, CapCut, basic Photoshop) and working knowledge of digital platforms (Meta Business Suite, WordPress, etc.).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Flexible and willing to work occasional evenings, weekends, and special events.
- Ability to represent MMCVB professionally in public and industry settings; must be able to travel locally and occasionally regionally for meetings, events, professional development, and tourism-related activities.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds, including boxes of brochures and other marketing materials.
Compensation:
Salary up to $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits include a Simple IRA retirement plan with a 3% company match, paid time off and holidays. This is an on-site position, with the flexibility to work remotely up to five days per month, pending Director approval.

Welcome Center Greeter (Information Specialist) – Part-time; 4-14 hours per week

The Madison Morgan County Convention and Visitors Bureau (MMCVB) is looking for a friendly, reliable individual to join our team and help showcase our community to visitors at the Welcome Center. This part-time position reports to the Madison Morgan County CVB Executive Director and is responsible as the first point of contact for visitors and residents. As such, this employee must always exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor and must remain current on all attractions and events as well as be able to share historic information of interest to our visitors. Training provided. This is a part-time position, working 4-14 hours a week and occasional weekends. Must be able to work between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and occasional weekends.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Follow opening/closing checklist;
- Stand up as people come through the door and greet everyone in a courteous and professional manner;
- Answer the phone and general questions in a courteous and professional manner;
- Maintain public areas including restrooms in a clean, orderly fashion and respond to emergency malfunctions as needed;
- Maintain inventory of necessary supplies and materials for Welcome Center (brochures, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc.) to ensure supplies do not run out;
- Keep information resources stocked daily (brochures, maps, etc.) and in an orderly fashion;
- Fulfill requests for brochures as needed and process all outgoing mail;
- Assist with event or business additions/updates and other admin tasks as needed;
- Check email and respond accordingly; and
- Other related duties, as assigned.
Compensation: $10.50 per hour
As an organization that represents the City of Madison and Morgan County, this employee must exhibit a high level of professionalism and maintain a courteous demeanor at all times. This position reports to the Executive Director.

Spring Intern, Social Media Visuals/Content Creation

The Madison-Morgan County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) seeks a creative, motivated Social Media Visuals/Content Creation Intern to help elevate our destination brand through photography, video, and content creation. This position is ideal for a student in Entertainment & Media Studies, Film/Television Production, or a related visual storytelling program who wants to build a strong portfolio and gain hands-on experience in digital media creation, content strategy, and tourism marketing.
The intern will support our content needs by capturing photo and video assets for use across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Pinterest, with a focus on storytelling that reflects Madison’s charm, people, food, and places. The right candidate will be comfortable receiving general creative direction and independently executing high-quality content with minimal technical oversight.
Requires at least 1-day per week in office at the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), with opportunity to work remotely otherwise.
Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with the Marketing Specialist and Director to create and update marketing content, including capturing/editing short-form videos and organizing/repurposing existing video and photo assets for use in marketing across social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest, adhering to Brand Standards set by the CVB;
- Gain hands-on experience in digital storytelling and B2C tourism marketing production.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Student in Entertainment & Media Studies, Film, Marketing, Photography or a related field;
- Demonstrated experience in video shooting, editing and photography (portfolio or samples encouraged);
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail; listens well for clarification;
- Self-starter; able to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines while working on multiple tasks.
Skills:
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs;
- Creative and comfortable shooting photography/video;
- Design experience with Canva, CapCut and/or Adobe Photoshop/Premier is a plus.
Hours & compensation: 200 hours per semester, $500 stipend available upon completion.
