Your first stop is the Welcome Center, where you can discover local favorites from the friendly staff or pick up a free Destination Guide with a handy map of the walking tour.
Take in the Christmas spirit at your own pace as you enjoy the mile-and-a-half stroll down Main Street to discover one of Georgia’s most beloved small towns and into the historic residential area where Madison’s elite built their elaborate mansions along oak lined streets.

Watch the Holiday Parade and Join Caroling by Candlelight

Main Street and Madison Town Park
Ring in the holiday season in small town style with Madison’s delightful Holiday Parade. Enjoy floats, vintage cars, horses, dogs, dancers and the award-winning MCHS Marching Bulldog Band, all marching to this year’s theme “Twelve Days of Christmas.”
Following the parade, head over to Madison Town Park for an evening of festive music and caroling. Choral groups, bands and local musicians will perform holiday carols certain to fill you with the holiday cheer. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and the Elves will be on hand to hear Christmas wishes. Warm up with a creamy cup of hot chocolate and enjoy toasty marshmallows roasted over an open flame.

Christmas on Dixie
Christmas on Dixie, located at 2300 Dixie Highway in Madison, is a local favorite and one of Madison’s best kept holiday secrets. Every year, this local family puts on a spectacular holiday lights display. The light show and parking are both free, but donations are greatly appreciated. Beginning on Thanksgiving night, the light show is open for the community. Park and walk through this incredible light display.
On select dates, visitors may even get photos with Santa or the Grinch. Follow their Facebook page for announcements on other special events throughout the season. This light show seems to grow bigger each year with every aspect of the holidays represented in this seasonal spectacle.
