From Downtown Atlanta: Head east on Interstate-20 to exit 114 (US 129 / 441). Turn left off the exit and stay straight to drive into downtown Madison. Total travel time approximately 1 hour.
From Downtown Macon: Head north on US 129 / 441 for 60 miles to drive into downtown Madison. Total travel time approximately 1.25 hours.
From Athens: From the southern GA-10 Loop, head south on highway 441. Turn right onto South 129/West 278/South 441 to drive into downtown Madison. Total travel time approximately 35 minutes.
From Augusta: Travel west on Interstate-20 to Exit 114 (U.S. 129 N / 441). Exit right and travel north into downtown Madison. Total travel time approximately 1.5 hours.
From Lake Oconee: Head west on Interstate-20 to exit 114, (US 129 / 441). Turn right off of the exit and stay straight to drive into downtown Madison. Total travel time approximately 35 minutes.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
Just over an hour west of Madison, the world’s busiest airport – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport – offers most major car rental companies. While there are no shuttles to Madison, Georgia from the airport, RTS Chauffeured Transportation provides private limo service for both groups and individuals. Have your own plane? Madison is home to Madison Municipal Airport (FAA LID: 52A), which is a city-owned, public airport located just two miles northeast of Madison’s downtown. It features a single asphalt runway, designated 14/32, measuring 3,806 by 75 feet.
The terminal building serves as the airport’s operational hub and provides a warm welcome to pilots and visitors. Additionally, the City of Madison offers a courtesy car for those visiting the terminal, making it easy to get around.
By Bus
