With all there is to explore in Madison and Morgan County, getting around by car is definitely your easiest option. Plus, parking around downtown Madison is plentiful and free! All street-parking is free for up to 2 hours. If you need to stay longer, off-street parking is available as marked in the map below and out-of-town visitors are welcome to park outside the Madison Welcome Center all day.

If you need a break while in downtown Madison, bike racks are plentiful with racks surrounding Town Park as well as along East Jefferson and East Washington Streets in Madison’s downtown square.

By Public Transit

The Morgan County Transit System provides public transportation within the county by reservation. Operating from 6:00 am – 5:15 pm, reservations must be made by 4:45 pm the business day before your trip to guarantee service. Call (706) 342-4052 to schedule your ride.
