Made sure we were comfortable...
“Our first encounter at the Super 8 was with Chris, the desk clerk. She was excellent and made sure we were comfortable. The price was very fair as they considered the fact that we had evacuated during Dorian and didn’t anticipate a hotel bill. We had to reserve two rooms and Chris managed to get us across the hall from each other. She was efficient and friendly and answered all of our questions about historic Madison and recommended restaurants and outings.
This hotel is family run by Mr. Hiren Patel and his wife. From the minute we walked in to register we were treated like guests…not hotel guests, like their personal guests. Felt like we were visiting family. They are both lovely people and are working owners cleaning, changing beds, setting up breakfast and, in general, making sure the hotel is clean and guests are enjoying themselves.
The morning breakfast was excellent with my favorite, waffles. Mr. Patel came in often to replenish the offerings and to ask if a guest needed anything. One can tell they are proud of their hotel.
Everything is clean, the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are well appointed, A/C was great as was the shower and everything looked as if they had been recently remodeled. The neighborhood was safe and the area is quite quaint. There is a downtown historic district and many things to do if you’re on a vacation.
