Tourism Ambassador

Learn more about Morgan County’s thriving tourism industry and how you can support our local hospitality sector (and have fun doing it!) by becoming an official Tourism Ambassador through an easy and interactive certification process outlined below.

As a Tourism Ambassador, you’ll be expertly equipped to inspire visitors to come and enjoy all the unique experiences our destination has to offer. You’ll also enjoy access to exclusive ambassador events, behind-the-scenes tours, volunteer opportunities and more from our partnering arts & culture attractions and outdoor escapes located throughout Madison and Morgan County.

1. Fill out the Tourism Ambassador Application to get started.

Please note, the meeting room for this event is not ADA accessible and participants will need to be able to follow along for at least one mile with the guided walking tour portion of training. Please call 706.752.7990 if you would like to participate with an alternative accessibility accommodation.

2. Attend a free, interactive 2-hour presentation by the Madison Morgan County Convention & Visitors Bureau (MMCVB) and Morgan County Historical Society to learn about the local tourism economy and experience top tourism attractions.

3. As part of the Tourism Ambassador Program, partner attractions will offer exclusive tours, discounts and/or events for participants. Ambassadors must attend three attractions within 90 days to earn a certificate.

4. Once the Tourism Ambassador training and attraction visits are complete, you will receive an official Madison-Morgan Tourism Ambassador Certificate, exclusive ambassador swag to share your status with tourists and emails from tourism partners sharing the latest news, events, volunteer opportunities and more.
