Homesteading: A Day in the Life of Local Homesteader Mark Tewksbury Saturday 3/11 10 am-noon (arrive at Farmview at 9:30 AM)
Spend the morning on a working homestead learning about what goes into this lifestyle of growing food for a family, raising chickens, turkeys, draft horses, sheep, bees and beef cows. Mark Tewksbury will guide you through his Morgan County homestead, and share his wealth of knowledge, resources and how-to advice for the amateur homesteader. This field trip is the perfect way to dip your toes into the world of homesteading!
NOTE: The class will meet at Farmview Market at 9:30 AM (You can arrive early and have breakfast in the cafe!) Caravan to the homestead will leave at 9:40 AM
