Healthy, Cozy, Comfort Food: A parent-child cooking class with “Treasures for Tots” cookbook author Lynette Kelly @ Farmview market Schoolhouse
Spend a winter morning learning the basics of involving kids in the kitchen with cookbook author Lynette Kelly as she guides you and your child through the process of making a healthy meal while bonding as a family and having lots of fun. You will learn and taste test tried and true ‘young kitchen helper’ friendly recipes, and you will leave with new ideas, recipes and a workbook written by Lynette! Designed to educate both the parent and child about healthy eating, the workshop will jump-start your family’s exciting experiences in the kitchen.
This will be a perfect morning out for a stay-at-home mom and her little ones or for homeschool students and parents who want to learn more about cooking with supervision. Parents are asked to remain with students since this workshop focuses on building relationships while working together. Lynette will share some of her own experiences of working with her sons in the kitchen, both of whom became kitchen assistants at two years old!
$30 per parent/child pair* ($5 for an additional child with paid parent registration)
Class is limited to 4 parent/child pairs (children age 4-10)
*PARENTS MUST BE PRESENT WITH CHILD AT ALL TIMES!*
As an added bonus, Lynette will have her “Treasures for Tots” cookbook available for purchase following class, and she will gladly personalize it and answer any questions you might have. Make a full morning of it by planning lunch in the cafe following class!
