Additional Information: Join a Park Ranger on this 2.5 mile guided hike on the Beaver Pond-Brantley Trail. Explore a variety of habitats from upland forest to an actual beaver pond swamp. Learn how the CCC helped this area to recover from the effects of intensive cotton farming during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Although the slopes are now well-covered with forest, our ranger will help you look for clues of past human usage. The hike is offered twice.
